The purpose of the competition is to strengthen, clarify and enhance the civic nature of this high profile area, the centrepiece of which is Sydney Town Hall. The competition is a single stage, open, design ideas competition. In order to achieve design excellence, the City of Sydney invites Australian and international design professionals, including urban designers, landscape architects and architects to enter in the Competition. Cross-disciplinary and cross-national teams are encouraged to enter.
