Open, two-stage Registration Deadline: August 9, 2000 Submission Deadline: August 9, 2000 Open to: Professionals & Students Entry Fee: US$25 Prof & $10 Students Awards: Ten stage 1 finalists, $10,000 Stipend/Award Each and Five stage 2 finalists, $10,000 Commission/Award Each Jury: Not yet announced The City of Chicago Departments of Environment and Housing are soliciting entries for the Green Homes for Chicago Design Competition. Successful entries will demonstrate that energy efficient technologies and sustainable building practices can be incorporated into the design and construction of affordable housing. The City will provide up to ten entrants with stipends to produce design drawings of their submittals. Of these, five entrants will receive a commission from the City to refine their design drawings into construction and permit documents.
