Planum - the European Journal of Planning on line - advertises a Public Competition, whose theme is "City and Immigration".
This Competition is addressed: to town planning students, researchers and teachers; to policy makers; to social enterprises; to public bodies and indipendent professionals; to immigrants; to everybody interested in the creation of authentic communicative change contexts.
The competition is divided into two Sections: Pictures and Policies.
As far as the Pictures Section is concerned: each participant may deliver maximum 4 photos (digital format) to the following e-mail addresses:

As far as the Policies Section is concerned: each participant may deliver the description of a study-case on urban immigration related issues (maximum 1000 words with at least 2 drawings or photos /digital format) to the following e-mail addresses:

The language of the documents which have to be submitted is english. In particular, the descriptions of the study cases can be submitted in the original language only if they're accompanied by an english summary (at least 300 words)
Planum reserves the rigth of publishing the submitted documents (pictures and descriptions of study-case) in the on-line pages of its section Event - City and Immigration.
The deadline for the submitting of the delivered documents is the 31th of December/2000.
The submitted documents will be judged by a specially designed panel, composed by Town Planning Teachers and Planum's Editorial Board.
The announcement of the winners will be given in correspondance with the on-line event organised by Planum on the theme "City and Immigration" which will be available on Internet on the 15th of January/2001 at the following address:

The prizes for the Photographs Section, for the first 3 classified, is a Planum's subscription (with the possibility of taking advantage of the services proposed by Planum).
The prizes for the Practises Section, for the first 3 classified, is a Planum's subscription (with the possibility of taking advantage of the services proposed by Planum) plus a subscription, as you like, of one of the reviews linked with Planum's enterprise (Planerin, Raumplanung, Sociedade e Territorio Town Planning Review, Urbanistica).
