Arquine magazine Mexico convokes to participate in the competition - Information Pavillion the winner proposal shall be developed and builted T3rcer Concurso Arquine The T3rcer Concurso Arquine is about an Information Pavillion - or showroom - that will exhibit the projects of competitions for the project Culture Center, Conventions and Bussiness Jorge Vergara Cabrera, in the city of Guadalajara Mexico, will exhibit the projects of Thom Mayne/Morphosis, Carme Pinós, TEN Arquitectos, Daniel Libeskind, Jean Nouvel, Teodoro Gonzales de León, Philip Johnson, Toyo Ito, Zaha Hadid, Tod Williams & Billie Tsien y Coop Himmelblau where the citizens and general public could appreciate, view and admire the development, blueprints, photographs, interactive videos of the competition for the Culture Center, Conventions and Business Jorge Vergara. In this competition the main challenge is not the programme, is the relationship between the urban context of the Vallarta Avenue in Guadalajara - main city avenue - and the future restaurant Moskú, the Moskú restaurant project was developed by the de-contructivist architects Coop Himmelblau (Vienna). The context will be determined by this new style of contemporary architecture of the XXI century, and the new Pavillion shall be of the same nature... The Place Vallarta Avenue and Yaquis Avenue, near the future Moskú restaurant of Coop Himmelblau, Guadalajara (México). Note to the competitiors: The sponsors of this competition kindly asks to the participants for safety precautions not to take photographs of the main site. Work Programme Information Pavillion - or showroom - 300 square meters to show the projects and related work for the competition of the Culture Center, Conventions and Bussiness Jorge Vergara Cabrera, which include: Hall - Atrium Access control, registration area, help desk, business reception cards 30 square meters. Showroom Designed area for the exhibition of the sketches of the master plan of the project, where the general public could observe the general context of the development, showing the group of buildings, the landscape architecture that unifys the criteria of the contemporary architecture style of the entire project of the several international architects, its surroundings as part of the spring forest (Bosque de la Primavera) site, and the most important: to prevent the architectonical impact against the urban context of the city of Guadalajara, and a space to exhibit the biography of each architect 120 square meters. Meeting Room and business attendees room Designed area for general public interested in offer services, consulting, case studies, architects groups, engineers, intelectual personalities, teachers, students. Companies interested in launch of products or specific features of new products, datasheets and techincal specs of any product, high tech and info on each project 40 square meters. Interactive Room Designed area mainly for computers which include interactive programs, videos, photographs, sketches, drawings, blueprints, and general perspectives of each architect involved in the project and the desing of each area of the Cultural Center 60 square meters. Services Designed Area for rest rooms, store, Omnilife products store, warehouse and JVC articles 50 square meters. Open To The T3rcer Concurso Arquine for the Information Pavillion of the Culture Center, Conventions and Business Jorge Vergara is open to: Architects, students and individuals involved in the process of design (engineers, landscape architects, designers) 35 years old or younger. Open to all Mexican and International. upon payment of the fee gives applicants the right to present a unique proposal for each participant. Competitors could participate in the competitions individually, group or interdisciplinary groups. Students participating individually or involved on a team shall be leaded with a mentor or an architecture teacher or master responsible, whom shall vail the proposal in case of result winner of the competition. Submissions of Proposals Two sketches 90 cm x 60 cm (black and white), mounted on a light rigid boards (on the back of the boards shall put the (6 digits key). This will be the same which will be included in a close envelope with the name, address, city, country, phone, and any contact information of the autor or group). Deadlines Application deadline 31 January 2001 Submission deadline 16 March 2001 Jury sessions will be held at the end of March of 2001. winner announcement of the project and the selection of the Jury will be published on the 16 issue of the Arquine magazine (june 2001). Fees Arquine offers a subscription for a year 4 issues of the Arquine Magazine + the subscription fee $600 Mexican Pesos m.n. For thos whom already have a subscription to Arquine Magazine subscription fee will be $300 Mexican pesos m.n.
