| AOMORI CITY'S NORTHERN STYLE HOUSING international design competition |

| Theme The New Shape of City Housing —2 stage international open competition to design a housing with some 200 houses, community salon, children house, nursery, shops, etc. in the site of approx. 13,000m2 in the center of Aomori City, northernmost prefecture of Honshu Island. Apart from mailing the design works, all othere correspondences including reception of application program, registration and making applications, etc. will be carried out via the internet. Eligibility All nationalities of architects with the qualifications equivalent to those of Japanese 1st class architect license. Prize 1st stage - 7 finalists are selected. 2nd stage - After open hearings with 7 models made by 7 finalists, 1st prize (1): the right to design the building and \3,000,000/ 2nd prize (2): \1,000,000 each/ honorable mentions (4): \500,000 each, are selected.
