| Izmir Municipiality opened an international urban design competition for the Alsancak-Turan area near Izmir Sea Port. The single phase competition will be organized according to UNESCO/UIA competition rules and opened to architects and urban planners worldwide. Competition Language is Turkish and English. Prize : $80.000 USD 2. Prize : $55.000 USD 3. Prize : $30.000 USD 6 supporting prizes: $25.000 USD (for each) Competition Calender 30 June 2001: Registration deadline 10 July 2001: Documents will be sent to competitors 20 November 2001: Latest postmark date 08 December 2001: Last day for the accaptence of the submissions 15-20 December 2001: Jury meeting Registration Process Competitors need to register with the following listed documents until 30th of June, 2001. - Registration form (Competitor(s)' name, nationality, address, telephone and fax numbers) - Evidence for the Professional Licence indicating the competitors' legal right to practice architecture and urban planning (The name and the address of the Professional Organization which this Licence is given from. e.g. Chamber of Architects of the competitors' country) - Invoice copy of the registration fee Registration Registration fee is $150 USD.
