jgibney@riai.ie, website: www.riai.ie) is administering a competition on behalf of Monaghan County Council, County Offices, The Glen, Co. Monaghan. Tel: +353 47 30500. Fax: +353 47 82739. The competition is an open two stage architectural competition for the design of new County Headquarters for Monaghan Council at the Glen, Monaghan. The project budget is €10 Million (IR£7.87 million) exclusive of Value Added Tax and Professional Fees. The competition will be held in two stages. Stage One is open to architects/architectural practices holding a qualification listed in the EC Architects Directive 85/384/EEC. Approximately 3 to 7 participants will be selected for Stage 1, provided there is a sufficient number of suitable participants, to go forward to Stage Two and provide a more detailed design proposal. Each second stage entrant shall receive a prize premium of €6349 (IR£5,000) for a valid submission. For the winning candidate, this will be an advance on the fee for executing the commission, if the development proceeds.
