M.A.L.A. architectural design competition |

The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland is administering a competition on behalf of Sligo County Council, County Hall, Sligo, Riverside. The competition is an open two stage Design Contest for Architectural / Design Services for the design of Branch Library and Library Headquarters, County Museum and Site Master Plan which incorporates the provision of Multi Storey Carpark in Phase 1 with provision of County Archive, Arts Office and Major Visitor Attraction as Phase 2. The competition is open to architects holding a qualification listed in the E.C. Architects Directive 85/384/EEC or equivalent. It is the function of the Registrar to decide on eligibility. An entry may be submitted by an architectural practice. In this case the name and address should be give and the official entry from signed by a partner. In this context the practice is defined as; a partnership properly established for the purpose of an architectural competition or an association of architects for the purpose of entering the competition. Approximately 3 to 7 participants will be selected for Stage 2, provided there is a sufficient number of suitable participants, to go forward to Stage Two and provide a more detailed design proposal. Each second stage entrant shall receive a prize premium of €10,000 for a valid submission. For the winning candidate, this will be an advance on the fee for executing the commission, if the development proceeds. Prize
