The
Morena Brothers Foundation announce the First International Experimental
Design Contest, to be held as part of INFUSION-International Festival
of Music and Design, June 26 to July 5, 2003, in Cuenca, Ecuador.
The contest is open to professional designers, students and graphic
artists working in experimental and innovative creation in the following
categories:
Interactive Digital Works
Computer-generated interactive works (games, web sites, installations,
CD-ROM)
Non-Interactive Digital Works
Visual imagery made using digital techniques (including video, film
and TV animations, etc.)
Packaging Design
Experimental projects for packing, wrapping or containing intangible,
imaginary or fantasy objects (for example, hunger, ideas, etc.)
Editorial Design
Editorial projects (pamphlets, magazines, newspapers, other publications)
.Large Format Posters
Posters 2.60 meters high by 1.20 meters wide
.Music Packaging
Integrated music packaging projects (record and CD covers, booklets
included with CDs or records)
Prizes:
Grand Prize
One round-trip air fare to the Galapagos Islands, with 5 days and
4 nights, all expenses paid.
Second Prize
A Macintosh iBook computer
Third Prize
A Sony digital camera 3.1MP
Special Prize
For a work selected by visitors to the expositions
For the first three winners in each category
An Infusion trophy and a certificate of participation
For all selected entries
Publication in the 2003 Infusion International Proceedings and Catalogue
Certificate of participation issued by the University of Azuay, the
Graphic Designers Association of Ecuador (AGD), and the Casa de la
Cultura Ecuatoriana-Azuay chapter
