 Steve Tanza The Central City United Kingdom 2000 Central City area is an interactive city experience. The juxtaposition of urban sounds and sights. Towers, maps, the sounds of the city, an audio visual city experience. Images from computer based drawings and sounds of the city. Themes or motifs that occur within the context of this work include: Networks of information technology contrasted with organic networks and city networks as grids. This is the work of Steve Tanza, an interactive art and text piece with embedded sounds, made for the internet. Steve Tanza is a digital artist who has exhibited paintings and multimedia widely. He won the CYNETart 2000 prize. The Web Review ITV.2000 and Netart 2000 published his work. His site has been selected as the best site of the week 2000 by the Independent. He won the Macromedia's People Choice Award for Fine Art 1999. He was shortlisted at BIMA in 1999. He won at EMAF 1999 and Seafair 1998. He received the DTI Innovation award in 1997 and the Wolfsen 25 painting prize in 1992. |
