Lilie Ewgraphovitch, Maximilian von Dada
Alone the long, long road
Artterror film and video product
Yugoslavia 2000, 5'25"

The artist diary: in the year of dangerous living, ‘rebuilding’ of Serbia, document of construction-deconstruction, but not on account of architectural forms only, but more on the essence of the meaning (or meaninglessness) of architectural constructions, where ‘rebuilding site’ and ‘destructed site’ look exactly the same, reflecting the atmosphere of the present day in this country. In this video, a couple has been seen visiting ghost sites of the country, but also reminiscing all of the ghost towns between Ireland and Russia, reminding us on desasters of wars, but also putting forward the idea of necessity that after the destruction, something new is waiting to be built. "And while our spirits were freely wandering, our souls were still bound to earth...".
