Slovenia 2000, 3’40”

Entering into an electronic era means entering into a global movement of information, which defines new environments and technostructures. Until now we thought, saw and read things in a linear form, one thing after the other, one thing hidden behind the other. We were observing objects with impermeable boundaries, an exterior with an impermeable interior and partly comprehended things that ignored an infinite complexity. The technoperception allows us to see the totality, to see with a thousands eyes, to hear until now inaudible sounds, to seize an infinite space. Now we live in the streets, which are sinking into structured media environments. An observer remains speechless, without identification or orientation. The user becomes a receiver of the cyber medium, formed as an environment of three dimensional computer graphics.

Andraž Kožar. He is a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana. He has collaborated with the arhitectural office Monochrome (Peter Vezjak & Cpela Hudnik) from February until November 1999, taking part to several projects such as Ars Vivendi in Ljubljana, a city library in Se˘ana, an hotel in Congress Square in Ljubljana etc. He has mostly been in charge of computer visualization, realization and animation of projects. He also assisted 1st year students with their seminars for prof. Gabrijelčič at the Faculty of Architecture. In his spare time he plays the bass guitar in a band. He thinks that architecture and music have a lot in common, which could be the theme of his next work for a competition.
