Callano industrial complex, Barletta (Bari) / project which is being realized / with Junko Kirimoto. The design planning is based on four volumes each one organized in a two floor office parts and in one big open space for the workshop. The structure of the first part is a steel module frame and for the other part is a precast concrete one. The low-cost of the project has brought us to concentrate the design on the building 'skin' and to the simple geometric form of the workshop roof trying to obtain a Mediterranean shape. The office skin presents the clear identification of each single module. The workshop is characterized by a not-massive finishing, obtained with a double skin made by wood-lines. Europan 96, Mainz. Natura naturalis, natura naturata, natura naturabilis / with Junko Kirimoto and Kelly Shannon.'Manipulated Landscape' create a new urban landscape and a filter between the existing urban fabric and the Rhein River. The public realm and the private realm are three-dimensionally woven and provide a new relationship of ground plane to build form. Living, working, recreation, cultural facilities, transportation and parking are juxtaposed to create a new fabric, a hybrid of the city and landscape which is activated throughout the 24 hours clock. The conventional distinction of solid-void, public-private, built-unbuilt are blurred by manipulation and ever changing elevation of ground.

Born in Barletta (Bari) in 1967, received his degree from the University of Florence. In 1994 he collaborated with Massimiliano Fuksas where he took part to many different competitions and in the executive design for the commercial center EUROPARK in Salzburg. From 1995 he works with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop taking part in the design of the new Auditorium of Rome. Actually he is local architect for the Building site.
