International competition Orestad, Copenhagen / honourable mention. Scale of the site 0,5 km by 6 km remains quite virtual. In this way to calibrate the site Paris is superimposed: Orestad extends then, from la Bastille to l'Arc de Triomphe. The important buildings and certain cafes are implanted on the site offering the richness developed in some conditions of causality normal to a city. This superimposition is planning the accidental event, which will engender some interferences that will qualify the sequences. These sequences serve to support the identification and membership to a place, which was itself made by chance. Congress centre EUR, Rome. The site changes but is still avoid. The Congress centre is an underground project. The ground is at the same time a lively platform and a roof for a big architectural machine.

Alessandro Carbone (1965) won the honourable mention in the UIA Barcelona 96 competition. He is project manager at Architectures Jean Nouvel with whom he collaborates since 1991. Francesco Careri (1966) is a member of Stalker and teaches at the IED in Rome and at the Institut d'Arts Visuels de Orléans.
