The intention is to propose a program based on what has been defined as the projectural parameters for the creation of the finite artistic world, trying to shift architecture from the creator to the user. In this way, architecture is transformed into an actual creator and shifts the architect towards a programmatic creation. As scientific diagrams give an image of reality, but do not represent reality itself, as such, the project is a diagram that represents a reality that is always mutable and changeable. At this point, the building is transformed into a variable field in which those who use the space and who live in it are able to transform it according to their needs. The forms are generated in a way to arrive at a topological genesis. Man tries to find his position in a semi-natural space with movement, his position becomes a concentration of space. Space as a subtraction of a volume, as in the subtraction of a sculpture from raw material. Space becomes remodelled by fluctuations, the fluctuation implies the variation in the location of the point of reference. The subjects, are within the architectural work and become the centre of changeable perspectives.

After various working experiences in offices in Italy, USA, Germany and France Carmelo Baglivo, Luca Galofaro and Stefania Manna formed their studio IAN + architects in Rome in 1996. The approach of the office is to combine both research and practice. They were awarded a number of prizes in important architectural competitions. They are in charge of realization of 68 residential units in Rome.
