New Headquarters Building For The Department Of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht And The Islands.

The Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland, 51 St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2 (Tel., 353-1-6613111; Fax., 353-1-6768463) are administering an open two stage competition on behalf of the Department of Arts, Heritage,Gaeltacht and the Islands.

This Architectural competition is for the architectural/design services for a new headquarters building located at Infirmary Road, Dublin 8. Envisaged is a building size of approximately 12,563 sq m. on a total site area of 6327 sq m. and a Total Project Budget of IR Ł12. m (Euro. 15,236,856.94)

The competition will be held in two stages. Stage 1 is open to Architects holding a qualification listed in the EU Architects Directive 85/384/EEC or Architects eligible to hold an architectural post in Government or Local Authority services in Ireland, and to Architectural practices. 6 of the participants will be selected to go forward to Stage 2 to complete a more detailed design proposal. Each stage 2 entrant will receive a premium of IR Ł10,000. (Euro. 12,697.38) inclusive of travel, subsistence and expenses. For the winning candidate, this will be an advance on the fee for executing the commission, if the Project proceeds.

Stage 1 Competitors are to submit their proposal on an A1 sheet (landscape format)
