IdN Design Awards 99/00

Following the success of the IdN Design Awards in 1993, 1995 and 1997, IdN is offering even bigger and better for 1999. The biennial competition aims to facilitate the promotion of digital technology and design and to stimulate creative inspiration and excitement in the design industry.

This is the single most important and prestigious event for all digital designers in the Asia-Pacific region. Winning, or even simply participating in IdN Design Awards 99/00 not only provide influential platform your expertise and skills, but qualifies you in the ranks of recognized digital design in the region. This year, we are pleased to announce that IdN Design Awards '99 will incorporate the Content-Creation Presentation Programme (CCPP). Please see the CCPP section in the following for further details.

Judging Criteria
As in 1993, 1995 and 1997, the aim of the IdN Design Awards 1999 is to promote creativity in digital design. While it is digital technology that makes possible much graphic design, the emphasis in the IdN awards is on creativity rather than technical ability; it is not what the computer is capable of that counts, but what the designer is capable of doing with the computer.

IdN Design Awards have traditionally attracted an exceptionally high quality of artwork. In 1999 an equally high standard is expected, and judging will be based on the overall impact of the art pieces and their success in fulfilling their aims, as well as originality of concept and design. For the multimedia, judging will be based on creative interface design, appropriate and interesting content, intuitive interaction and the overall quality of production.
