Ballymun Regeneration Architectural Housing Competition

The RIAI (Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland), 8 Merrion Square, Dublin 2 (Tel: 353 1 6761703) is administering an open two stage competition on behalf of the Promoters Ballymun Regeneration Ltd, Stormanstown House, Ballymun, Dublin (Tel: 353 1 842 1144).

This architectural competition is for the architectural / design services for a mixed housing development of approximetely 100 houses and apartments, with related community facilities and some flexible enterprise / office units and for the co-ordination of other design team members and for the supervision of the contract.

The competition will be held in two stages. Stage One is open to registered members of the RIAI and architects / architectural practices holding a qualification listed in the EC Architects Directive 85/384/EEC.

Between five to ten participants will be selected, provided there is a sufficent number of suitable participants, to go forward to Stage Two and provide a more detailde design proposal. Each second stage entrant shall receive a prise premium of 5,000 IRŁ for a valid submission. For the winning candidate, this will be an advance on the fee for executing the commission if the development proceeds.
