The
2000 Kenneth F. Brown Award Registration Deadline: January 17, 2000 Project Submission Deadline: March 13, 2000 Grand Prize Award: $25,000 The School of Architecture, University of Hawaii at Manoa in cooperation with the Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA), is soliciting entries for the Third Kenneth F. Brown Architecture Design Award Program. The program recognizes outstanding examples of contemporary architecture in Asia and the Pacific Rim in an effort to promote the development of humane environments within this multicultural region. For the 2000 Design Award, we are inviting projects that illustrate a concern for the well being of the serviced community by successfully addressing health and quality of life issues in architecture. The award winner(s) will receive a cash prize of $25,000 and will be invited as a speaker(s) at the Fourth International Symposium on Asia Pacific Architecture: The East-West Encounter. This symposium will be held in spring 2001 at the School of Architecture, University of Hawaii at Manoa.
