 amgod#n + Amanda Malafarina, kynA.mov, ITALIA 2001, 7'07" Architectures for other styles of life. The artificial world recognized by the Koyaanisqatsi film through nature is the palimpsest that allows the evoking of the materials for the architectural plan. The video is an assembly of sequences taken from the film of Godfrey Reggio, images of architectural plans by amgod#n and musical pieces by several composers, describing the intrusion of the natural and artificial fluxes in the landscape of the architectures. As the nature becomes, for Reggio, the resource in order to keep the artificial world alive, therefore the urban body feeds on the relationships between physical space and social structures, transferring to such relationships some characters typical of the natural facts, like the sensitive evidence. amgod#n began in Rome in 1999 in order to collect and select the individual experiences and to promote them according to the various and mutating combinations between its members. The members of amgod#n (Alessandro Baldoni, Sabrina Cantalini, Giuseppe Catania, Stefania Ciuffoli, Adelaide Di Michele, Adriana Feo, Gabriele Mastrigli, Antonella Sonia Perin, Giuseppe Troccoli) graduated in Rome between 1991 and 1998. Since 1992 they have carried out professional activities and participated in numerous national and international competitions and seminaries including Europan 6 - Catania and Seregno (winning with their plans). In 2000 amgod#n was selected for the competition Città: Terzo Millennio – VII Biennale di Architettura of Venice. |
