anguillAMetrica AMstudio + M. Miegge, Alessandro Pepe, CONCORSO DI COLPA. Torino Porta Palazzo: melting market, ITALIA 2002, 20'00''

Concorso di Colpa, or The Market Voice, is a video that does not want to speak about a plan, nor about an idea of a consolidated plas. More than a presentation of a plan the video is a declaration of its potential failure, where the complex interlacing of the territory between economic transformations, local requirements, new immigrations, political conflicts and utopian plans of re-qualification place the architect in a virtual condition of impotence and reduction of its role. Ours is a research on the complex, generic word that serves not only to describe the families of street artists interacting in the public square: barriers-traffic-refuel/defuel-trams; uneasiness-crime-ghettos-intolerance; access to merchandise-tradition-positional income; market-supermarket-global market economy. With complex, we mean also the topologic analysis of territory focused on the threshold and friction situations that it proposes.

anguillAMetrica AMstudio was born in January 2001 and is formed by the architects Luca Farinelli, Giovanni Fortini, Sergio Fortini. They have availed themselves of the help and collaboration of Patrizia Jaus. The competencies are integrated by an open view to the research, with attention to theoretical aspects, to transformations on every level of the scale, from the detached house conceived as an interface between inside/outside, to the urban complexity, to the landscape masses. Michele Miegge (architect and photographer) and Alessandro Pepe (documentary director) have already collaborated successfully in a documentary titled ‘Outsidein’ filmed in London and presented to the British Film Institute of London in the autumn of 2001.
