David Lušicic, Emir Jelkic, Odd thing, SLOVENIA 2001, 8'53''

In the year 2001 worldwide electronic media take the lead in setting standards of absorbing information and understanding space in a specific time. The observer has to find a unique way of reaching, recognizing and accepting reality no matter how difficult it can be regarding existing forms and everyday patterns of bringing information to one. “The more wonderful the means of communication, the more trivial, tawdry, or depressing its contents seemed to be.” (Arthur C. Clarke)

Born in 1976 in RIjeka, Croatia, David Lušicic is a student at the School of Architecture at the University of Ljubljana. Emir Jelkic, born in 1974 in Sarajevo, Bosnia, is a student at the School of architecture at the University of Ljubljana. As a member of Ljudmila (Ljubljana digital media laboratory) team he worked on several projects for different Slovenian artists (Cosic, Hrvatin, Pogacar etc.). In 1999 they were members of the team Spyral 000 that was presented at the architectural exhibition "Sarajevo Concert Hall Competition" at the Biennial of young artists in Rome.
