 Route Nationale 212. Etudes de la Déviation d'Albertville Infographie Lecarpentier, France 1999 The national road RN212 which crosses through Albertville has created numerous traffic problems. In an effort to propose ways to ameliorate the problems created by this road, this interactive project aims to present to the public through images, 3-D animation and video, two alternatives for the Albertville traffic problem. The architects of this video presented it publicly to the inhabitants in Albertville on 10 September 1999 and it remained as an interactive installation in the municipal center for a month thereafter. This group of iconographers, architects, engineers and designers offers the possibility of "virtually" visiting projects and testing their environmental impact as projects become more easily comprehensible and communicable through the work of representation. At every stage of the project, the clients or specialists can appeal to the iconographic possibilities for a realistic and evolving look at architectonic, urbanistic and industrial projects. For ten years now, the multidisciplinary group Lecarpentier has offered the visualization of more than 400 projects. |
