Maurizio Meossi, Salvatore Covelli
Percorsi ed interni urbani: un progetto per l'area ex-scalo merci della stazione ferroviaria di Siena
Università di Firenze, Italia 1999, 4'

The idea for this project stemmed from a university thesis and also from a seminar entitled "Progettare: Media e Ipermedia," held by Professor L. Macci at the University of Florence. The projects aims to create a peripheral area of the city as an alternative point of attraction in comparison with the historical city center which is too often considered as the only area of interest in a city. Particular attention was also dedicated to a logic capable of interpreting the modernity of the project as synonymous with environmental durability.

Maurizio Meossi, born in Siena in 1971, graduated in architecture in Florence in 1998. Interested in the new architectonic languages and artistic experiences, he has collaborated for many years with the design group Gr. Est and with the musician Lorenzo Brusci. In 1998, he was chosen by the Renzo Piano Workshop Foundation to work on the theme "The Padre Pio Pilgrimage Project." He is also a collaborator in the seminar "Progettare: Media e Ipermedia" held by Professor L. Macci at the University of Florence. Salvatore Covelli, born in Acri (CS) in 1970, graduated in architecture at the University of Florence. He has collaborated as the operator of CAD and 3-D representation in diverse architectural studios such as the studio of Pucci as well as the that of the architect Calvi. Currently, he teaches CAD and the techniques of 3-D representation in collaboration with the Geoide studio.
