Emanuel Dimas De Melo Pimenta, born in 1957, is an architect, urban planner and composer of contemporary music who is interested in the creation of new technologies, virtual reality and the possibilities linked to cyberspace. He is an active member of the New York Academy of Sciences, of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and of the International Society of Art, Science and Technology in Berkeley. In the past, he has worked with John Cage and Merce Cunningham in New York and some of his own works are included in the Universal Encyclopedia (Sorbonne). Since 1995 he manages an internet site:
