Savvas Sarafidis Here Comes the Flood This video is a clip created for the song Here Comes the Flood, written by Neil Hannon of Divine Comedy. It was created in the Spring 1999, during the war in Kosovo. The video explores how an architect and a designer envisioned the role of the media during that moment of millenaristic fervor. Savvas Sarafidis works as an architect and designer in New York after a bright beginning of his career in Athens and the United States. He initiated his studies at the National Tech University in Athens and he later pursued a masters degree in the Science of Architecture and Urban Design at Columbia University in New York. Sarafidis has always pursued his interest in the problems related to urbanism, either regarding public spaces or the construction of large residential complexes in urban areas like Manhattan. Information on Sarafidis and his portfolio can be seen at http://www.columbia.edu/~sps31 |
