 XX architecten Project XX - the temporal office Nederland 1999, 5' This project is based on construction techniques of offices. The nowadays materials last for more or less one hundred years, but the mean age of a building of offices is much shorter. This logic would be sustainable if these materials could be re-used in some way. Project XX intends to offer some important advises for sustainable building techniques. Its aim is to balance financial necessities and long period consequences. The solution given by XX is based on a carrying structure, realised with steal and wood. All the aspects have been considered in order to minimise all the possible structural problems that can occur. Thus, also the environment can take benefit by this equilibrium. From this, the idea of the video. J. M. Post has been XX architecten president since 1999. He graduated in Delft, faculty of Architecture, and since then the has taught sustainable development of these specific architectural problems. |
